I’m Michael, the owner and DJ behind Mint Entertainment.
After years of entertaining at weddings, I’ve learned that the best receptions aren’t created by following a formula. They come from understanding the people in the room and knowing how to bring them together.
Music is at the heart of what I do. I spend a great deal of time getting to know each couple’s tastes, building a soundtrack that feels personal, and thinking carefully about how one song leads into the next. But great music is only part of the experience.
I’m constantly reading the room—knowing when to turn up the energy, when to give a moment some space, and when a simple song choice can bring an entire dance floor together. I’m comfortable being highly interactive when it adds to the celebration, but I never want the DJ to become the center of attention.
Your wedding should feel like your wedding.
That also means being someone your other vendors can rely on. I work closely with planners, photographers, videographers, venues, and coordinators to keep the evening moving smoothly and make sure everyone can do their job at their best.
My goal isn't simply to play great music or keep people dancing.
It’s to create an atmosphere where your guests feel connected, your favorite moments feel effortless, and you can forget about what's happening behind the scenes and simply enjoy your night.

He had a unique challenge in front of him: creating the perfect soundtrack for a Croatian-American wedding. Many of the songs we wanted included Croatian music that he had never worked with before, but after a few planning meetings and playlist reviews, he absolutely nailed it. He took the time to understand our vision and seamlessly blended Croatian and American music throughout the night.
What impressed us most was his incredible knowledge of music and his ability to read the crowd. We had a reception with both English-speaking and Croatian-speaking guests, and somehow he always seemed to know exactly what song to play next. He kept the dance floor packed all night long, smoothly transitioning between Croatian and American music in a way that kept everyone engaged. In fact, so many of our guests were impressed by how well he handled the Croatian music that they kept asking if he was Croatian himself!
The extras he brought, including the photo booth and cold sparks, were huge hits with our guests and added an extra level of excitement to the reception.
He’s also incredibly professional. He arrived exceptionally early to ensure everything was set up properly and to give himself plenty of time to troubleshoot any potential issues before guests arrived. That attention to detail gave us great peace of mind on such an important day.
Beyond just playing music, he’s an active and engaging DJ who isn’t afraid to get out on the dance floor, teach dances, and help keep the energy high all night long.
The only downside? Your feet might hurt the next day from dancing so much. Ours certainly did.
